420 Mod (1.4123) is a martensitic stainless steel alloyed with Molybdenum, Vanadium and Nitrogen making it ideal for all types of medical, surgical and dental instruments requiring good wear, resistance to blunting and high quality mirror polishing. It is produced by ESR remelting and has better corrosion resistance than similar grades such as 440B and 440C. With hardening it can reach hardnesses up to 57HRC.
