Titanium commercially pure Grade 2 (ASTM F67) is a vacuum-melted and remelted alloy which is totally biocompatible in the human body and is very much the benchmark for comparing all other materials in medical applications. It has the highest corrosion resistance of all the titanium alloys. The medical grade Titanium Grade 2 is closely limited and controlled when it comes to interstitial elements (C, O, N and H) and well as limiting the iron content.
